Opera House in Toronto
10.11.2007- CST
Sup world. Matt and Mike from Marianas Trench here. Just wanted to keep u guys up to date with the latest happenings in trench world.
Sooo... we're out on tour right now, just rocked a huge sold out show at the Opera House in Toronto last night. Thanks so much to all the fans who lost their voices last night, the energy in the room was freakin amazing! Big thanks to the boys from We Are the Take for opening up and joining us on stage for the encore. These guys are one of the best bands i've heard in a while, and you can expect HUGE things from them in the future.
So as you may or may not know, our album, FIX ME, came out one year ago Oct.3rd! To celebrate our anniversary, we got to rock out for the whole country on MuchMusic's Much on Demand program. It was the first time we've ever played to one zillion people and it felt amazing! Thanks to everyone who came down to the studio to support us.

We're known as a bunch of goofy pranksters, but it was muchmusic who had the last laugh when we were there. I dunno if u guys saw the footage, but WE GOT DUPED. Allow me to explain... were halfway through our soundcheck when the production manager said there was a problem with the lighting setup. They escorted us to our dressing room for saftey purposes while they were rehanging some of the lighting fixtures... or so we thought. We sat down for a couple minutes when there was a loud knock at the door... and in strolls this MASSIVE 7 Foot, 300lbs body builder guy wearing absolutely nothing but tighty whities. HORRIFYING. He proceeded to trash our dressing room in a crazy rampage, throwing our lunch all over the room, as well as periodically breaking into a frenzy of pushups and situps! Bizarre. I was in tears laughing, but deep down we were all a little scared for our lives. Thats when we noticed the hidden cameras and microphones and realized it was a setup! MuchMusic then aired all the hidden camera footage during our interview... not cool. We'll get those bastards back hahahaha.
Stay tuned for more...
