GIBSON ACOUSTIC'S MASTER MUSEUM COLLECTION

Deep in the heart of Big Sky country, in the small town of Bozeman, Montana, some of the most renowned luthiers in the world apply their incredible skills to make Gibson’s legendary acoustic guitars. At Gibson, every guitar is a work of art. Making a Gibson acoustic takes patience, skill, and dedication. It is an intensive, hands-on process from start to finish. There are no shortcuts—it is a craft passed on from generation to generation, much like the music these guitars make. This deep commitment to the art of guitar making has resulted in an unparalleled lineage. The line of Gibson acoustics includes such legendary guitars as the Hummingbird, the Dove, the Super Jumbo and Jumbo models, and the L series from the 1930s. Their sweet, ringing tone, stunning looks, and effortless playability have earned them a reputation as the finest acoustic guitars in the world.

In 1998, the incredible guitar builders of Gibson Acoustic decided to add a new chapter to the Gibson legacy with the Master Museum Collection. These breathtaking, ornate guitars are handcrafted by Gibson's master luthiers from start to finish. The final result is a museum-quality piece of American craftsmanship—a custom original that is both a beautiful sounding and playing instrument and a priceless work of art. There is no higher level of craft than a Gibson Master Museum acoustic.

From the shop benches of Gibson’s master builders to the parlors and studios of the most demanding collectors and players, the guitar masterpieces of Gibson’s Master Museum Collection span the steep peaks of artistic accomplishment and musical excellence like no other instruments ever created.
